Prologue
Consumers worldwide eat around 7.5 million tons of chocolate each year, and U.S. citizens alone spend 25.9 billion dollars on this type of confectionary annually. How much chocolate one’s body consumes matters.
Class
Chocolate is the most loved type of treat in the world. When people say that they want something sweet, they mean chocolate.
Background
Chocolate originated when a greedy Italian man visited the Central America area, and he desired to steal their cocoa beans to invent a sweet treat that would cause the downfall of human health and create an addictive product to generate revenue. That’s hardly a past to be proud of.
Mistakes
Chocolate continues to aid in the increase in obesity in the U.S. and world-wide.
Chocolate companies add addictive substances to their chocolate in order to drive more revenue to their clever company.
It leaves one feeling sluggish and sleepy, which then leads to unproductive habits.
Consumption of chocolate can lead to medical issues such as type 2 diabetes and potential allergies and sensitivities, as well as tooth decay.
Comparison
Chocolate is a manipulative substance that has no benefits for one’s body. It can be directly compared to a type of drug, such as cocaine or meth. When one tries to stop eating chocolate, they simply cannot resist the urge to eat more and to consume more of it. Confectioners deceptively make it incredibly addictive in the similar way that the evil men in their crack houses make their addictive substances to sell in order to make a profit. The similarities are striking.
Epilogue
Chocolate tastes delightful in one’s mouth and the smell is incredibly tantalizing. Chocolate has a hold over people worldwide, and the chocolatiers around the world understand this. They create their substance to get users addicted in a similar way to those who make drugs. It is a type of treat that aids in obesity and health problems, and it needs to be regulated.
This is an in-class exercise from my Rhetoric class, here we had the opportunity to write a silly structured story on chocolate.
