Dear Kara Rohads,
As the holiday season approaches, a time when one gives and reflects, I invite you to consider making a lasting impact on the lives of children facing hardship. Through Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, your support aids in the provision of hope and tangible aid to children in need in communities around the world. Your donation can help bring comfort and place a joyful smile on children, both near and far.
Your support allows for the Gospel to come to children everywhere through a box of small Christmas gifts. Every box donated makes a direct difference, imagine the impact your gift will have. By donating to Operation Christmas Child, your box filled with toys and necessities will make its way to children in impoverished areas, spreading the Good News of Christ and bringing the light of Christmas cheer to the dark corners of the Earth. Every box contributed makes a direct difference.
By giving to Operation Christmas Child, you are sending a message of hope in the form of a shoebox. Your support aids in the delivery of God’s love to children living in war zones, areas of poverty, and places impacted by natural disasters. Our boxes are an act of compassion that enables you to remind children in the furthest corners of the world that they are seen.
Let me tell you about Alina from Central Asia. With gifts being an ultimate luxury, Alina stood baffled and confused after receiving an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. 13 years later, she still remembers the heartfelt note written to her alongside the photo that was placed inside the box by a donor. After moving to America and building a life for herself, Alina has been packing shoeboxes because she believes they are the gift that keeps on giving. It’s how she learned about Jesus, and it was how she began her daily walk with Him. That shoebox and the love inside of it changed her life and opened the door for her to spread the love of Jesus to her family and community.
Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered 200 million shoeboxes to children in over 170 countries. These boxes are more than just cardboard; they represent the love and joy of Christ. Every box and dollar donated to Operation Christmas Child helps us to reach another child.
This holiday season, I invite you to aid us in being the hands of feet of Jesus through a gift box. Your gift of $25, $50, or more will directly support the cost of processing, delivering, and collecting shoeboxes to children in need. Please visit www.samaritanspurse.org/occ or send your check in the enclosed envelope. If you are interested in making a box yourself, please visit our website to locate your city and find your host church to donate to. For more questions about shipping, packing list requirements, and testimonials, contact us at info@samartianspurse.org or through our social media channels.
Thank you for partnering with us to share Christ’s love with children across the world, one shoebox at a time.
With gratitude,
Allie Eskridge
